Banner for 5 Ports You Might Visit In The Caribbean

Going on a Caribbean cruise is like jumping into a bunch of my favorite movies all at once! Each place is totally different and super cool in its own way. Here’s where I’ve been and what made each spot awesome:

St. Thomas, Virgin Islands

St. Thomas was my first ever port in the Caribbean and oh my gosh, it was amazing! The food was yummy—I tried some local stuff that tasted so good. And the shops! There were so many shops where I could buy cool stuff like t-shirts and hats. I didn’t get to go to the beach because we were busy exploring the shops right near where our ship stopped, but I could see the beaches from a distance and they looked beautiful.

Amber Cove

Amber Cove is this cool spot in the Dominican Republic. It’s pretty new but it’s already one of my favorite places. They have a huge pool that looked like a lake it was so big! I also went on water slides and even tried zip lining, which was scary but really fun because you could see everything from up high.

Grand Turk

Then there was Grand Turk. It’s super chill and fun. I spent most of my time swimming in a giant pool and just relaxing on the deck chairs. They played music all the time, and servers would come around and bring us drinks and snacks. It felt like a big pool party!

Costa Maya

In Costa Maya, Mexico, we went on an adventure to see ancient Mayan ruins. It was a bit of a drive to get there, but seeing those huge old pyramids was worth it! On the way back, our driver stopped to get us some fresh pineapple which was super sweet and juicy. It made the trip back so much fun!

Cozumel

Last stop was Cozumel, and it was all about the water. I went snorkeling and paddleboarding. The ocean was so clear, I could see all sorts of fish and even a giant statue underwater! Paddleboarding was a challenge—I kept falling into the water, but it was a blast trying to stay up.

Some Tips If You’re Going On A Cruise:

  • Plan What You Want to Do: There’s so much to do, so think about what you really want to try at each stop.
  • Try the Food: Each place has its own special food, so don’t miss out on trying something new and yummy.
  • Have Fun in the Water: If you like swimming or snorkeling, you’re going to love these places because the water is perfect.
  • Learn a Bit Before You Go: If you stop somewhere with cool history, like we did in Costa Maya, read up a little before you go. It makes seeing it in real life way cooler.

Wrap Up:

I think going on a Caribbean cruise is like a dream vacation because you get to see and do so much cool stuff in just one trip. Each port was like a new adventure waiting for us, and I can’t wait to go back again. If you ever get a chance, you should totally go—you won’t regret it!
